I am hoping to start up a shaved ice shack and your snowie 1000 looks good but it is out of our price range would the little snowie 2 be able to handle it? we don’t expect to have two many customers.
Aaron Rupp –
Ryan,
The Little Snowie 2 is intended for home use purposes. Technically, you can use it for your business, but you run a chance of burning it up if you do run it non-stop. That is what our commercial ice shavers are built for.
Good luck with your endeavors,
– Aaron

Comment:
I was about to order the snowie 2 but then ran across the flower cups and that is the look/taste that my kids had in Hawaii.
Questions:
Is the ice output the same as the snowie 1000?
Will any of the flower cup attachments work with the Snowie 2?
My kids like the air look and taste.
Aaron Rupp –
Pheland,
I am sorry for this delay. I thought your question had already been answered. Yes, the ice is the same as the Snowie 1000. The only difference really is that the Little Snowie 2 has a smaller hopper, and does not shave as fast as the 1000. But the quality of the shave is the same.
Flower cup attachments will not work with the Little Snowie 2. We actually designed the cone shaper differently so you should not need an attachment or a vinyl flap.
Thank you for your question, I hope this helps,
– Aaron

My favorite party appliance!!! Nothing is a bigger hit at our summer pool parties. We make yummy “frozen” margaritas & drinks without a blender…its much more fun and unique. The snow is the fluffiest, snowiest snow out there.

We have been using snowie one forever and now I’m excited to order snowie 2. Don’t waste your money on other shaved ice machines snowie is the best.

Its a hit. I went from using a consumer-grade block shaver which required a lot of advance prep, freezer room for my home to keep ice blocks ready, and after a few near-misses of blocks flying into the protective shield I was only comfortable if I was personally manning it at a party.
We literally opened the box, dumped in ice from our fridge ice dispenser into it, pushed down, and had shaved ice in a minute. My kids declared it identical in quality to our block ice shaver – maybe there is a subtle difference in quality of the shaved ice being produced but for the 100X easier use and now we can just leave it there for anyone to use even if its 1% less fluffy this is a home-run for our house.

Hi just wanted to drop a line and say how absolutely delighted I am with my little snowie. This will be my third summer using it. I just took it out of it’s nice little box and and she started right up like day one. I just wanted to say thank you for such a quality product. I tried using some of the original concentrates sent with it and well they didn’t fair quite as well, so I guess it’s time to order some new ones. Oh dear what flavors to choose?? I’m sure my children and the neighborhood kids will have a say in what flavors they want! Thanks so much for our beloved little snowie.

Very interested in buying, looking to use for a side business…I’m wondering if I could use this as a start up to start my business and work my way up to the snowie1000? What should I do? Can you use a battery for this or do you have to plug it in a wall? I was going to buy a generator but if I can use a battery I’m not going to get a generator! Does the snowie1000 use a battery as well?
Aaron Rupp –
We don’t recommend using the Little Snowie 2 for business use. In fact it technically voids the warranty. However, it can help you gauge whether or not you may have a viable business. All of our ice shavers can be run from a battery if you buy the DC version of the shaver, otherwise, they will require that you plug them into a wall outlet. They can also be purchased to run on 110 in the states, and 220 elsewhere. Hope this helps.

I love love love my little snowie 2 and actually use it every morning and pour orange juice over the ice! I love it! My question if someone can answer it is how do I know if/when I need to replace the blade?!
Aaron Rupp –
Three “Love’s…” We love to hear that! We also love to hear the different ways people are using their Little Snowie 2 Ice Shavers, it isn’t always for making shaved ice. The best way for you to know if your blade is bad or going bad, is it will either not shave at all (bad) or it will start shaving really slow. One thing to note though, we encourage people to use cold ice, but if your ice is so cold that snow that is shaved from it freezes to the inside of the blade and hopper, that will make your shaver seem like it is slow. It is not. Just put some wetter ice in the shaver and see if it shaves quickly. If it does, then your original ice is a bit too cold. Let it temper for a minute or two before you put it in your Little Snowie 2 Shaved Ice Machine.

Question…I am wanting this for a birthday party and a family reunion…is it capable of handling approx 30-50 snow cones in a 2 hour timeframe??
Aaron Rupp –
Yes, this shaved ice machine will handle that volume.

I live in the Houston, Texas area and I just received my Little Snowie 2 and it is awesome!!! My family was surprised on how fast and easy it was to use. The quality of the snow was amazing!!! Nice and fluffy and the flavors are awesome!!! Will be buying more flavors to try!!! As I near retirement I have been thinking about starting a snowcone business and when I do I will certainly be a Snowie customer!!!

This thing is awesome! I have contemplated buying a commercial machine for years and have never been happy with any at home options before now! The ice is so smooth you would never know the difference between this and a snow cone stand… I am one happy customer!

We love this little snow beast! Our family has always loved the fluffy white Hawaiian shaved ice that you pay a fortune for. As a family of five, going to those little shacks would get expensive. Now we pull out our little machine and within a few minutes, each of us has a mound of snow ready for the yummy flavoring. Of course we all go back for seconds and even thirds. We can’t resist! It is so easy to use, even our five year old could fill her own cup in seconds. It’s a little loud, no louder than a vacuum cleaner, but that is to be expected as the result is perfect white snow. We use the ice cubes that our freezer makes, so you don’t need to buy anything special. It really has made our summer! We can’t wait to use it in our parties and family gatherings.

I just received my Snowie 2 on the 1st of August. I opened the box, plugged it in, added ice and let my Grandaughter put it to work. She is 3, so I held the cup. I was so amazed to see that in a few seconds I was able to make a 16 oz cup with no problem. I am so pleased!
LaQueena Graves –
I’m considering purchasing it but am concerned about the noise. Is is loud when shaving?
Aaron Rupp –
It is fairly loud. It is not as loud as a blender if that comparison works for you.
Jason –
It is about as loud as a blender.
Jason –
The noise is comparable to a blender
Jason –
Sorry for the late response. You may already own one ;) it is about the same noise level as a blender
Sergio –
Will the snowie 2 be able to handle a party of 50ppl for a snow cone party or would I need to buy the big snowie?
Jason –
It will be able to handle 50 people for sure.
Jason –
The Little Snowie 2 can handle 50 people for sure!
Jason –
Not sure if my reply went through. Yes, you can absolutely serve 50 people!

Outstanding product, bought ours from Costco. We are using it mornings ,lunch and evenings .the flavors are outstanding and taste great.
Sherry –
We did our research and it led us to the Little Snowie 2 but what solidified our decision was that Costco sold it. We knew if we weren’t satisfied we could return it hassle free, no questions asked. But satisfied we are!! We just had a birthday party for my daughter and the moms asked where did we get it. One had experienced the experience we set out to avoid…disappointment of cheap versions that get used once and then shoved into cabinet to be sold at a garage sale years later for a dollar. The Little Snowie won’t be that model. It’s definitely worthy of the “you get what you pay for” phrase. We paid more but it was worth it!

The Little Snowie 2 did a fantastic job! It’s user friendly. There are no ice jam troubles. The ice comes out like snow. This is not the machine that will get used once and then sit in the cabinet to be forgotten about! The Lemon Lime syrup is my favorite!
