Snowie Webinar #23 – Making Block Ice for your Snowie Block Ice Shaver

We will be hosting another webinar tomorrow from Lyle’s location in Cincinnati.  We will be discussing the making of Block Ice.  One thing that we talk about quite a bit is the availability of Block Ice.  In my opinion, If you can find a company that makes solid Block Ice, then consider yourself fortunate and purchase the ice from them.

Usually you will find yourself needing to make your own block ice. There are different theories about how to do this in your own existing freezer, but many of those blocks do not freeze evenly and the air does not always escape the block like it should in the freezing process.  This can cause air divisions in the block resulting in the block breaking once it is in your shaver.

We will talk about some of these things and more, but the bulk of this webinar will be geared to those who are doing Shaved Ice as a business and have chosen to use Block Ice to produce their Shaved Ice.

We will be using a freezer from a manufacturer called Clinebell.  Snowie is a reseller for them as well, so we can help you get into these machines if you so desire.
